I the single mother of a two year old little boy. His dad and I split when I found out I was pregnant. He wanted me to have an abortion. I met and married a man who agreed to raise my son as his. He was put on the birth cert as the dad. He was a serial cheater and I divorced him. Problem is, he is still on the birth cert and I am concerned that he has right to my son if something happens to me. I cannot apply for a passport etc. I obtained an affidavit when we divorced and I submitted everything to home affairs and they lost the docs. He is not his father. Please let me know I can do to get him off the birth cert. He works out the country and he is no co-operative either. Please help!!
