Dear Sir/Madam,

Please note that I applied for renewal of quota permit in August 2011 but when the result came out in March 2012 I realized I had been wrongly issued with a general work permit. When I queried at the office of application (which is the Home Affairs office in Pretorius Street in Pretoria), they realized my application was wrongly captured on the system and they asked me to resubmit my papers for rectification of the error. I did so in March 2012 and when I went back to check in December I was told the papers went missing and I had to reapply again. I duly did so on the 19th of January 2013 and was told the papers have been sent to the Head Office in Pretoria for manual rectification of the error and was going to take about a month. I went to check last Saturday at the Pretorius Office of Department of Home Affairs and they have not yet received back the rectified permits. My problem is that the application wasn’t captured on the system and there I can not track the progress of the application. It means I have been waiting for the renewal of my quota permit since August 2011 and up to now nothing has been done. I am equally worried this can end affecting my permanent residence application that I applied for in August 2011 that is still pending also. I could appreciate if you could have on the status of the rectification of the quota permit at Head Office and advise me. I am reachable on 0762915724.
