Complaint about customer service at Department of Home Affairs Edenvale - Passport application


Today I had to wait 2 hours for the my passport application to be processed. I went in to have my passport renewed, and went through the entire application process. When I left I received an sms to say that ID application had been submitted which was incorrect. I then went back to the office and they had to process a completely new application which took twice as long because 1) the customer number system failed and I was logged against a women who had left her station to go to a baby shower in the back office and then left at 4. 2) at 4pm all the employees packed up and went home, so there was almost no one left to help. When I complained I was told to keep quiet because I was making a noise and people are entitled to go home. There were at least 5 other people waiting behind me, and none of the employees were concerned that these people were waiting. Very bad service!!!!!
