Very poor service - Unabridge birth certificate
I applied in March 2014 for my sons unabridged birth certificate, I heard nothing from Home affairs, I then again applied for it on the 10th December 2014 as I am travelling overseas in June 2015 and need it for Visa purposes. Up to now I have not received anything, I have phoned every week and all they tell me is that it was sent to Head office the 20th February 2015. They say they can't find my son on file and need to investigate but yet they issued him with a passport. This is really ridiculous, it is now the 1st April 2015 and I have not yet applied for my Visa which is suppose to be done 2 months prior to travelling, the funny thing is when you phone in, the lovely little message they play for you says "if travelling abroad, please ensure you apply for the documents way before the time", how ironic is this statement, I applied a year ago, so how far in advance do you have to apply?
